Father and daughter team, Michel and Sophie Louison of Château des
Estanilles, are widely
acknowledged as being among the elite of Faugères producers whose
wines consistently receive critical acclaim.
This introductory six-bottle case includes their
powerful and complex dry white wine from a blend of
Marsanne, Roussanne and Viognier and a classic, spicy
red ‘Cuvée Tradition’ from all 5
of Faugères
permitted grapes (Mourvèdre, Grenache,
Cinsault, Syrah and Carignan). The flagship
‘Grande Cuvée’ is a dense, earthy
red made from pure Syrah which has commendable
bottle-age. Lastly, but most unusual of all, is
an incredibly full-bodied rosé ‘Le
M’, made entirely from Mourvèdre.
