Alsace: Pinot Blanc 2007
A wonderful example of an Alsace Pinot Blanc from Charles Schléret that has been awarded numerous medals in successive vintages.
Pronounced ripe, orchard fruit flavours and a bright, fresh finish - fuller and fruitier than the Sylvaner, it is very versatile in that it drinks equally well with or without food.
Charles Schéret is based in the delightful village of Turckheim just west of Colmar on the river Fecht and has been supplying Yapp Brothers for over 20 years. Charles cultivates the full spectrum of Alsace grape varieties and is widely recognised as one of the finest vignerons independents in the region. Charles’s wines have garnered more medals in wine competitions than those of any other wine-maker that we ship from and they are known for their distinctive varietal characteristics.
