Very intense fruit and quite a shock to taste the first New World wine of the evening - minty cassis. Intense, ripe and lively. Fine tannins. Not a blockbuster but fine pure intensity of fruit. Smooth deep chocolate-rich tannins with a fine grip at the very end and still a way to go. 17+ Drink 2009-14
