Neagles Rock wine - Buy wine from the Neagles Rock Vineyards in Australia

An invitation to present a tasting of Northern Rhône Syrahs at a conference in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand last year provided an excellent opportunity to undertake a long overdue fact finding trip to South Australia too. Having seen some leviathan wine making operations in the Barossa Valley (including a Penfolds plant the size of an airport), it was a pleasure to head north to the hills of the Clare Valley where everything felt on a smaller, more familiar and less commercial scale.
Jane Willson, the charming patrone of Neagles Rock Vineyards, gave us a warm welcome at her cellar door and we toured her vineyard in the equally warm Summer sunshine, basking in the knowledge that it was mid-Winter back in Blighty.
