Deep red in colour, the Grenache shows intense blackberry and cinnamon characteristics while the Shiraz provides rich, black pepper and liquorice nuances.

Neagles Rock Vineyards make a range of full-bodied, fruity reds from classic French grape varieties. This Shiraz-Grenache blend has appealing stewed-berry aromas and tastes and pleasing peppery notes.

  • Cellarage: Drinks very well when young but will age happily for 5+ years.
  • Vinification: The grapes are handpicked at various levels of ripeness over four days in March and April. The Grenache is fermented at a cool temperature with daily pumpovers to extract maximum colour. Both the Grenache and Shiraz go into oak barrels, the Grenache in French and European Oak, the Shiraz in American Oak. The wine is blended just prior to bottling some 10 months after harvest.
