Pommard Wines
The commune of Pommard is one of a few in the Côte de Beaune (itself better associated with whites) that produce only red wines, Volnay and Chorey-les-Beaune being the others. The villages and Premier Cru vineyards surround the town of Pommard itself and produce well-structured wines that benefit from 5-8 years bottle age.
