Meursault is a Burgundy commune amounting to more than 430 hectares, bordering Volnay, Monthélie and Auxey-Duresses to the north and north-west, and Puligny-Montrachet to the south. Even though, there are some Pinot Noir vines present, most are planted with Chardonnay, making Meursault largely a white wine commune.
The classic view of what one should expect from a Mersault is of a rich, voluptuous wine with a precise fruit definition combined with freshness and minerality.
