This Muscat wine is an orange blossom-scented, golden-hued nectar from Corsica. With a palate of sweet, ripe apricots it is traditionally enjoyed chilled in situ as a pre-prandial sharpener, but works equally well as partner to fruit-based desserts.
Up on the Cap Corse promontory, outside the village of Luri, Lina Pieretti-Venturi makes a wonderful sweet Muscat de Cap Corse from a precious parcel of 2 hectares of vines that have been handed down through her family. It is an outstanding Muscat - aromatic, 'vin doux naturel' with a heady orange blossom bouquet. The beautifully balanced palate offers luscious, white summer fruits.

Domaine Pieretti
Lina Pieretti-Venturi is one of only a handful of winemakers on the Cap Corse (the northernmost peninsula) and one of only two female vignerons on the whole Island of Corsica. Lina farms 14 hectares of vine holdings out of around 40ha in the appellation which lies just outside Santa Severa, near Luri from which she produces tiny volumes of dry red, white and rosé plus excellent sweet Muscat wines.
