Banyuls 'Réserva' is a sweet, red wine - a classic blend of Grenache Noir, Grenache Gris and Carignan. It has a spicy, dried fruit, pluminess, rather like a tawny port. It can be consumed chilled as a decadent pre-prandial sharpener and makes a marvellous match for dark chocolate desserts. An open bottle will keep happily in the fridge for a fortnight, although not chez Yapp alas!

A wonderful esoteric, slightly resinous, full bodied, dry white wine deliberately made in quite an oxidative style with a sherry-like bouquet and a complex palate of orchard fruit offset by wild herb notes and a long, elegant finish.

A gorgeous, organic white wine from Provence which has been particularly well received on these shores. Food and wine matching expert Fiona Beckett recently described it as "An intense, fragrant, Vermentino-based white to drink with seafood.", and we heartily concur.
