Vin de Pays des Cévennes: Camp Galhan Jean Cavalier 2007
The Vin de Pays de Cévennes ‘Jean Cavalier’ is made from pure Grenache and is packed with warming red fruit flavours with pleasant peppery undertones.
Lionel Pourquier of Domaine Camp Galhan is an up-and-coming Vigneron Independent who left the relative security of the local coopérative at Ribauté-les-Tavernes in the year 2000 in order to go it alone. Lionel’s wines have already graced the pages of Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate and amply illustrate the value that can still be found in France’s lesser-known viticultural backwaters.

Yapp Brothers staff review - Tom says:Mouthfuls of delicious baked fruit and spice are testament to this terrific 2007 vintage in Southern France. Ideal with mild curries or, in my case, home-made burgers.
