Picpoul de Pinet Wines

Picpoul de Pinet is a small, specialist appellation that lies on the inside edge of the Bassin de Thau. The lone, (almost) eponymous grape variety is Piquepoul which thrives on the maritime soil of sand and gravel and is characterised by its zesty, palate cleansing acidity. Ludovic Gaujal’s Domaine de la Peyreficade has been in his family since 1743 and is widely regarded as being an impeccable source of Picpoul de Pinet.
