Bourgueil: Les Cent Boisselées 2007

A mid-weight, forward and fruity wine from 100% Cabernet Franc. With juicy cassis flavours and pleasant blackberry leaf and mushroom aromas, its structured tannins will support some bottle age.

Bourgueil: Les Cent Boisselées 2007

Pierre-Jacques Druet, who is based in Bourgueil, has garnered a hard-fought reputation of producing finely-crafted, dense, expressive and age-worthy wines. His 'Cent Boisselées' bottling is relatively forward by his standards (although it will mature happily for 5 years) and has an attractive bouquet of red berry fruit with some earthy undertones and fine-grained tannins.
