Bourgueil: Vaumoreau 2000

Ruby red with a brick pink rim. Aromas and flavours of ‘cut-pepper’, blackberries and mushrooms are supported by ripe tannins preceding a complex, mouth filling finish. It should be decanted and served with grilled meats, game or strong, hard cheeses.

Bourgueil: Vaumoreau 2000

Pierre-Jacques Druet's cuvee Vaumoreau hails from low-yielding old vines and comes into its own at about 5 years from harvest. This is a brooding, traditional bottling with sous-bois scents and notes of game or mushroom medling with hedgerow fruit. It is ideal with red meat or hard cheeses.
