Chinon: Château de Ligré Rouge 2010

A fine red Chinon from pure Cabernet Franc that hails from the heavier soils of the southern plateau. It has a lovely savoury palate of cassis and black plums supported by ripe tannins.

  • Vinification: Machine harvested, fully de-stalked Cabernet Franc grapes undergo a 2 week cuvaison in stainless steel vats. After alcoholic fermentation, malolactic fermentation takes place. The finished wine is filtered prior to an Easter bottling.
