Saumur Champigny: La Grande Vignolle 2010
‘La Grande Vignolle’ is a mid-weight bottling with rather more depth and concentration than it's 'Saumur Champigny, Domaine Filliatreau' sibling - it can stand up to quite robust cuisine and can benefit from some short-term bottle-age.
The Saumur Champigny: La Grande Vignolle 2008 from Domaine Filliatreau was chosen as one of Bibendum Restaurant’s ‘Michelin Wines’. As part of the celebrations of the Michelin House’s Centenary in 2011, Michelin held a week of lunches and dinners when 143 stars were handed out to British and Irish restaurants in the Guide. This delicious red wine from the Loire was one of those selected to be served at the event in which every single Michelin starred chef was invited to attend.
