Big, bountiful, gastronomic Cabernet Franc - a rich and powerful wine displaying herbaceous aromas. It has a wonderful core of ripe cassis flavours and a fine structure of tannins. The Filliatreaus' flagship wine, the terrific 'Vieilles Vignes' is made from a parcel of octogenerian vines that yield a strapping dark, earthy wine with a wealth of dark fruit flavours.

| Vinification | The grapes are picked by hand and are macerated for 30 to 35 day in thermo-regulated, stainless steel vats. Rémontage occurs twice a day and the temperature is maintained at 25 to 27 degrees C. The wine is then fermented at 33 degrees C in order to extract the maximum colour. |

The Filliatreaus are renowned for having modernised winemaking in the Saumur and Saumur Champigny regions, producing vibrant wines with excellent fruit characteristics. Their wines are extremely popular on the Paris restaurant market and increasingly well known around the world. Yapp Brothers have been importing Filliatreau wines since 1976.
