Côtes de Gascogne: Domaine Millet Colombard-Ugni Blanc 2010

The Domaine de Millet Côtes de Gascogne blanc is a dry white wine with zesty grapefruit aromas prior to a round and supple palate with a crisp refreshing acidity and refreshingly tangy unoaked fruit.

Côtes de Gascogne: Domaine Millet Colombard-Ugni Blanc 2010

We first came across the superb Domaine Millet Ugni Blanc-Colombard 7 years ago and it proved an immediate success. We had a gap in our portfolio for a really aromatic, crisp, fruity, dry white that would make for affordable and rewarding everyday drinking and it ticked all the boxes. Today it is one of our top-selling wines and it is hard to imagine how we ever managed without it.

What others think of this wine...

Jane MacQuitty - The Times on Saturday, 15/10/2011 says:

This month's Sommelier quartet includes their glorious, fresh-as-a-daisy Gascon white: 2010 Domaine de Millet, a colombard-ugni blanc blend that bursts with soft lime and lemon zest flavours and only 11.5 per cent alcohol.

Simon Hoggart - The Spectator, March 2011 says:

For years I have been banging on about the tremendous value to be found in southern France... made by the Dèche family who have been growing vines there for five generations. Their white is the local brew of Colombard and Ugni Blanc (the grape that goes into Armagnac, which the family also used to make until the bottom dropped out of the market). It is zippy and fresh, with a hint of grapefruit. It’s a wine that tells you that spring is on its way. Perfect as an aperitif in the garden, or with fish, chicken, salad, or almost anything really.
