The Domaine de Millet Côtes de Gascogne blanc is a dry white wine with grapefruit aromas and refreshingly tangy, unoaked fruit. This region, famous for Armagnac production, is now the source of good country wines. Domaine Millet blazed a trail for many followers, but it remains one of, if not the, best.

We first came across the superb Domaine Millet Ugni Blanc-Colombard 7 years ago and it proved an immediate success. We had a gap in our portfolio for a really aromatic, crisp, fruity, dry white that would make for affordable and rewarding everyday drinking and it ticked all the boxes. Today it is one of our top-selling wines and it is hard to imagine how we ever managed without it.

Gascony used to be the home of workaday wines from workaday grapes, in this case Colombard and Ugni Blanc. But improved technology now means that they are creating fully flavoured, lively, citrus-scented yet rich wines, all at very reasonable prices. This is a great homecoming pick-me-up, but also terrific for enjoying with food or at a party.

Vinification: The grapes, grown on alluvial soil, are picked at optimum ripeness and are completely de-stemmed prior to vinification in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats. The wine is then fined and filtered prior to spring bottling.
Alcohol by Volume (ABV): 11.5%
