With delicate aromas of apricots and acacia flowers and a heady palate of tropical fruit with mineral undertones and a clean, dry elegant finish, this Viognier from Les Vignerons Ardéchois is a superb interpretation of one of the Rhône valley’s noble white grapes.

Coteaux de l'Ardèche: Cépage Viognier 2010
This Viognier merits special commendation as it is a difficult grape to grow and vinify, and this version from Vignerons Ardéchois has lovely exotic fruit characteristics and a finesse that belies its modest price tag.
The Coteaux de l’Ardèche Viognier is a light enough Rhône wine to be drunk on its own as an aperitif, but has enough weight to take fish, poultry and more substantial salads in its stride.
