The Muscat de Beaumes de Venise made by Domaine de Durban is widely acknowledged as being one of the finest in the appellation, having been described by Robert Parker thus: ‘It is always an extroverted and flamboyant wine, even in rain-plagued lighter vintages… This remains an intense, concentrated, viscous Beaumes de Venise with striking flavours and a haunting fragrance.’
Today, brothers Henri and Philippe Leydier have taken over the day to day running of the Domaine de Durban estate from their father and uncle, respectively concentrating on the vinification and viticulture.
