Châteauneuf du Pape: Domaine du Père Caboche Rouge 2010

‘The charismatic mayor of Chateauneuf du Pape, Jean-Pierre Boisson, bottles early and makes some of the most delicious and alluring wines of the appellation. They are not meant for long-term aging, but rather to be drunk in their first 5-8 years of life.’ Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate

Châteauneuf du Pape: Domaine du Père Caboche Rouge 2010

This is the Boissons principal red bottling of Châteauneuf’, called simply ‘Domaine du Père Caboche’. It is blended from 70% Grenache Noir, 10% each of Mourvèdre and Syrah and a diverse ‘field blend’ of lesser varieties. It is always a juicy, voluptuous, ‘come-hither’ wine with abundant ripe fruit and silky tannins.
"The 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape is slightly more concentrated and intense than its 2009 counterpart. Forward and lush with copious quantities of black cherry liqueur, roasted Provencal herbs and licorice, it should be consumed during its first 6-8 years of life. 89/100 Drink 2011-2019." Robert Parker.
