Gigondas: Domaine Saint Gayan 2007
A jammy nose precedes a palate exhibiting excellent concentration of ripe, baked stone fruit (plums & damsons) with textbook spicy undertones and firm, warming tannins.
What others think of this wine...
Robert Parker - Wine Advocate, December 2011 says:Two strong efforts from this traditionally run estate include the 2007 Gigondas, which exhibits a dark plum/garnet color as well as a sweet nose of bouquet garni, black currants, cherries, and spring flowers. Round, pure, and medium to full-bodied with luscious fruit and a heady finish, it should drink well for 7-8 years. 88-90, drink 2009-17.
