Saint Joseph: Cave de Saint Desirat Cuvée Amendine 2009
While over 90% of production at Saint-Joseph is focused on red wines, made fromSyrah, it would be a mistake to overlook its white wines made from Marsanne and Roussanne. The highly-regarded ‘Saint Désirat’ Cave Co-opérative bottle this fine example called ‘Cuvée Amendine’. Made from a blend of 70% Marsanne and 30% Roussanne, it is showing well in the current 2009 vintage with attractive white fruit scents and flavours and a bright, clean, unoaked finish.
