An esoteric, dry and alluring Northern Rhône Marsanne wine, the Saint Péray: Nature has a bouquet of herbs and honeysuckle and a rounded palate offset by some mineral flavours preceding a clean, fresh finish.
In addition to the sparkling Mousseux Brut, Jean-Louis Thiers also makes this commendable still Saint-Péray Nature that is fermented in a mixture of enamel and steel vats (it doesn’t see any oak) and is bottled in the Spring after the harvest. It has a generous weight of ripe orchard fruit, subtle mineral undertones and an elegant dry finish and is well suited to simple fish and poultry dishes.
