Tavel: Domaine Maby La Forcadière - a full-bodied rosé wine made in a traditional style by La Famille Maby. A softly scented red berry-fruit bouquet precedes a well balanced palate that finishes clean and dry.
This resplendent Tavel wine is made from 9 different grape varieties - principally Grenache Noir and Cinsault but Bourboulenc, Carignan, Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Mourvèdre, Picpoul and Syrah all play a supporting role.Arguably a little fuller and more refined than the rosé Lirac from Domaine Maby, this Tavel too is a berry-scented belter with bags of ripe red fruit and a savoury, dry finish. A large dish of roasted Mediterranean vegetables with crumbled feta cheese, couscous and a harissa dressing would be an apposite accompaniment.
Andrew Neather - London Evening Standard, 23/08/2012 says:Tavel produces the biggest rosés of the Rhône, indeed of just about anywhere: delicious on a hot day but they really need food. This one from a top producer is a good example: mostly grenache and cinsault, very solid (14.5 per cent alcohol), dry but bursting with red berry fruit.

Joe Wadsack - 9th June 2012 says:Finally. The first smile-on-my-face Tavel for a long while. Almost a red wine. Tannic, textural, and chewy. Full of wild strawberries and cherry. Long.
