Grignan-Les-Adhemar: Le Grand Dèves 2009

Made from a blend of Grenache and Syrah, it has soft red fruit aromas and an appealing mid-weight palate of ripe plums and damsons with warming spicy undertones. It is just the kind of wine that one should have to hand in the kitchen for pepping up sauces and partners who’ve had a hard day work.

  • Style: Red Wine, Dry (Sec), Medium-bodied
  • Region: RhoneTricastin
  • Producer: Vignerons Ardéchois
  • Vintage: 2009
  • Grape variety (Cépage): Syrah, Grenache Noir
  • Wine pairing - drink with: Poultry, Pasta, Hard Cheese
  • Cellarage: Drink within 2-3 years of vintage.
  • Vinification: The grapes are picked at optimum ripeness and the Syrah and Grenache are vinified separately in order to gain the maximum potential from each grape variety. The grape juice is then blended and the wine goes through the process of malolactic fermentation (the conversion of harsh malic acids into softer lactic acids) before being fined, filtered and bottles.
  • Alcohol by Volume (ABV): 12.5%
