Vin de Pays Catalan Wines
This large area that stretches across the Pyrénees Orientales is home to uncomplicated wines with distinct Catalan character. The whites, made from Muscat, Macabeo and Grenache blanc are dry and sherry-scented, while the fruity, herbal reds (70% of production) derive from Carignan and Grenache (although other varieties are permitted).
