Terrific wines at all prices, often but not always from lesser-known regions and producers; enthusiastic, knowledgeable and passionate staff; and transparent value for money without recourse to endless price promotions.

Savoie: Domaine de l'Idylle Vielles Vignes 2009

Domaine de l'Idylle's bottling called simply ‘L’Idylle’ is, like their cuvée ‘l’Orangerie’, also from 100% Jacquère, but hails from older vines and consequently has a little more weight and depth - it would stand up well to the local specialities of raclettes or fondue.
