Wine is all about personal taste and so is the matter
of choosing a wine to go with food. There are
some general principles but, in effect, no rules
apply. The old adage ‘red wine with meat
and white wine with fish’ doesn’t
necessarily have to be the case. If
you’ve got a few bottles of Sauvignon Blanc and
perhaps some Australian Grenache or Shiraz, a Gamay
and a Côtes du Rhône, you will find
you’ve got some good standbys for reliable food
matching. After that, it’s all about
experimenting and finding matches that you enjoy.
Our Food and Wine Matching search facility gives you
the opportunity to match a broad range of foods with
Yapp wines. Again, these are only suggestions
but they have been tried and tested over the years by
the Yapp team. We hope you will enjoy trying
and testing them too!
