A lovely Cornas wine in the modern style, produced by Alain Graillot's son, Max and friend Thomas Schmittel. This sexy Syrah which scored 93/100 with The Wine Spectator is drinking well now, but could be cellared for a decade.
- Bottle £37.50
- Bottle Case £450.00
A dense, dark, brooding wine which sets the benchmark for the appellation. Typically a bouquet of red fruit with underlying hints of leather, spice and wood-smoke precedes a palate of profound concentration and structure with a wealth of dark, black fruit and peppery flavours over rugged tannins, which soften and sweeten with age.
- Bottle £95.00
- Bottle Case £1,140.00
'Renaissance' is a slightly lighter, more forward and approachable wine than the Clapes' classic Cornas but it still displays all the signature characteristics of this domaine - a bouquet of dark hedgerow berries, a core of complex black fruit tastes with a grainy texture and a fine structure of tannins.
- Bottle £45.00
- Bottle Case £540.00
In a spirit of altruism that we may regret, we have decided to release a few cases of the Clapes ‘Vin des Amis’, their ‘house’ Syrah from grapes grown on half a hectare outside the Cornas appellation, that is bottled as a humble ‘Vin de France’.
- Bottle £22.50
- Bottle Case £270.00
