Refreshingly crisp, Marc Imbert’s organic Corsican rosé wine comes from the family estate based on the south-eastern corner of the island. Blended from Nielluccio, Sciacarello, Grenache and Cinsault, it’s brimming with berry fruit, citrus and a lovely saline edge. Certified organic.
Nestled in the dramatic landscape above Porto Vecchio, Marc Imbert is the latest generation of the family to continue the tradition of making terroir-driven organic wines. Their 43 hectares of vines lie between 'mer' and 'montagne' with their rosé a combination of local grapes and southern French favourites. Usually comprises 50% Nielluccio (Sangiovese), 20% each Grenache and Cinsault with the remainder 10% Sciacarello.
Rich, floral bouquet notes lift strawberry and raspberry aromas and flavours. Serve with: Seafood, roasted head-on prawns, or a fish curry.

| Vinification | Hand-harvested grapes are co-fermented using wild yeasts in temperature-controlled vats at temperatures of 15C to 18.5C to preserve aromatics. Around 50 to 60% of the juice is free-run (saignée), with the rest pressed (vintage dependent). Matured on the lees before bottling. |

Domaine de Torraccia
An aristocrat from Nevers, the tireless, flamboyant Christian Imbert arrived in Corsica in the 1960s after many years trading spices in Chad and set about planting his organic vineyard on reclaimed scrubland in the hills above Porto Vecchio, in the south east of the island. Overlooking the bay of Pinarellu, its granite soils have a south-eastern orientation yet the vines cling to sometimes steep mountainous slopes and are cooled by vigourous sea breezes.
Christian promoted the interests of like-minded, quality-driven Corsican winemakers through the UVA Corse collective that he founded over thirty years ago and was a member of the prestigious Academie du Vin. We were saddened to hear of his passing in August 2023, at the very respectable age of 94.
The Domaine has been ably run by Christian's son, Marc Imbert for some years and now numbers some 43 hectares of vines. Marc continues to follow the same organic and qualitative principles first established by Christian.
