The red Costières de Nîmes wine from Château Roubaud is made from a blend of roughly-equal parts Syrah, Grenache Noir and Carignan. Bursting with ripe garrigue fruit over earthy tannins and scrubland scents, this crowd-pleasing, chest-thumping red wine is the perfect foil for robust, rustic dishes - cassoulet or pot au feu spring to mind.

Château Roubaud (Guillaume Molinier)
Château Roubaud has been in the Molinier family for five generations and, today, owners Françoise and Guillaume Molinier look after over 50 hectares on the western flank of the Parc naturel régional de Camargue. The wines are among the most highly rated of the region and are frequent medal winners at wine competitions in Paris. The Molinier wines are reassuringly old school and offer excellent value.
