AOC Fleurie: Domaine de Fa 2017
"Beautifully fragrant, with violet and black tea notes that echo through the tangy raspberry and steeped cherry flavors, marked by licorice and mineral elements. Offers a long, lightly tannic finish. Drink now through 2023. 600 cases made, 300 cases imported. 91/100."
Gillian Sciaretta - Wine Spectator.
The esteemed Graillot family have long-harboured an oenological interest in Beaujolais, as well as a family home there and recently acquired 8 hectares of Beaujolais in the crus of Saint Amour (in the climat of Côte de Besset) and Fleurie, that they named Domaine de Fa. They, like several others, see a region which has real potential and that is currently undervalued.
