The International Wine Challenge Merchant Awards has been a routine fixture in the Yapp calendar for many a year and we're also now acclimatised to the summer slot in July for the ceremony having moved from later in the year.
It's always good fun to be part of the proceedings and digging out the black tie and DJ for a night in town. We knew we were in the right place when we walked into the Hilton in Park Lane to see Tim Atkins have his shoes shined in the reception!
We were delighted this year to receive three of the coveted 'Merchant of the Year' Awards for the Rhône, Languedoc-Roussillon and Regional France while also picking up a 'highly commended' for the Wine List of the Year.
So, not only are we back in the West Country, the Gongs made the trip back intact and our now proudly on display at Yapp HQ!
