All the major commentators have now opined on Rhône 2014. This is a good, rather than great vintage for reds and an excellent year for whites (indeed, outstanding for Viognier).
As ever with en primeur offers, there are only two good reasons for buying: to purchase at an advantageous release price and/or secure an allocation of a rare wine. Given the recent strength of Sterling, we are able to offer lower en primeur release prices for wines from Jasmin, Le Vieux Donjon (RP 89-91) and Trévallon, plus no increase in respect of Clape. These wines will provide rewarding drinking while you wait for the truly outstanding vintages 2009, 2010 and 2015 (rated by Marcel Guigal as the greatest of his lifetime) to mature.
