Bourgogne Pinot Noir: Closerie des Alisiers 2022

A fine, well-crafted example of Burgundy Pinot Noir and a sibling for our Bourgogne Chardonnay, it has a palate of soft red fruits and will please red wine lovers as it drinks well with and without food. Served lightly-chilled it makes an ideal pairing for a simple collation of charcuterie, fresh bread and cornichons and perhaps some ripe Brie de Maux.

A fine Bourgogne Pinot Noir from Stéphane Brocard, bottled under his 'Closerie des Alisières' label. A delicate bouquet of raspberries and redcurrants with a touch of underlying rusticity precedes a palate of pure, soft red fruit flavours offset by supple tannins.

Stéphane Brocard - Closerie des Alisiers

Stéphane Brocard is a branché Chablisien who found his family's wine business becoming crowded when working alongside his brother and sister-in-law and sister and brother-in-law. An intimate knowledge of Burgundy and a hankering to do his own thing led him to set up a boutique négociant business - Closerie des Alisiers - contracting in small parcels of carefully selected grapes, as well as investing in a precious plot of Pommard, for which he has high aspirations.
