Bourgueil: Domaine Taluau-Foltzenlogel 2018
Domaine Taluau-Foltzenogel make this sleek, well-fashioned Bourgueil from 4 hectares of vines, grown on slopes of calciferous limestone.
Tasting Notes
Cabernet Franc dominates in this large appellation of 1400 hectares (although Cabernet Sauvignon is permitted up to 10% of a blend). Made with pure Cabernet Franc from 20 to 40 year-old vines, grown on the slopes of Bourgueil, this wine displays textbook raspberry fruit with a hint of 'pencil shavings', perfect with grilled meat or goats' cheese.
