Chablis: Domaine Christophe Camu 2017
Classy, unoaked Chablis from a talented, sixth generation winemaker. It is light and supple enough to savor without accompaniment but will take all manner of crustacea and seafood in its stride.
As our long-standing Chablis suppliers, Martine & Patrick Guitton, entered retirement, we were pleased to see their son (and step-son) Christophe Camu incorporate their vine holdings into his successful domaine. Continuity is assured with this versatile, fresh, apple-scented, mid-weight Chablis.
Made from pure Chardonnay grown on free-draining, calciferous soil, it has a limpid, golden-green hue, green apple aromas and fresh, fruit-laden palate underscored by a nervy minerality.
