Coteaux du Cap Corse: Domaine Pieretti 'Vieilles Vignes' Rouge 2018
Lina Pieretti’s top cuvée is equal parts Niellucio and Grenache from her estate’s oldest vines, aged between 50 and 60 years old. Ripe cherry flavours, crisp tannins and a waft of the maquis.
Lina Pieretti farms 11 hectares of vines in the communes of Luri and Menia, 30km north of Bastia on the windswept Cap Corse. We have shipped Lina’s rosé and sweet Muscat for over a decade, but were delighted to also encounter her delicious red blend of Grenache and Niellucio.

Lina Pieretti-Venturi is one of only four winemakers on the Cap Corse (the northernmost peninsula) and one of only two female vignerons on the whole Island of Corsica. Lina farms 11 hectares of vine holdings just outside Santa Severa, near Luri from which she produces tiny volumes of dry rosé and sweet Muscat wines.
