Côtes du Rhône: Pascal 'Cuvée Personelle' 2019
A négociant wine that has graced these pages for decades coming from our old chum Yves Chéron's 'Pascal Frères' stable. Their über-reliable 'Cuvée Personelle', from a Syrah (25%) and Grenache Noir blend has deservedly garnered a loyal following. Sourced from vines averaging over 50 years-old on limestone-clay soils, fruit is totally destemmed before fermentation. It drinks very well with 3 to 5 years bottle-age.
A quintessential commercial Côtes du Rhône wine with soft supple tannins, good brambly fruit and a warming, spicy finish.
