This mixed case includes

1 x Alsace: Léon Beyer Crémant d'Alsace Brut£0.00

Elegant, dry methode traditionelle sparkling wine produced from Pinot Blanc and Auxerrois. Something of a local secret, 90% of Cremant d'Alsace is consumed in La France. It is easy to see why they're keen to hang on to it.

1 x Bourgogne Chardonnay: Closerie des Alisiers 2020£0.00

This wine is a classic, unoaked, crisp Chardonnay which is an ideal starting point for exploring our white Burgundy range. Made by savvy, young négociant, Stéphane Brocard, who was instrumental in helping us develop our Burgundy offering, it's a delicious, crisp and unoaked wine to savour on its own or with a simple dish of fruits de mer.

1 x Quincy: Jerôme de la Chaise 2020£0.00

This delightful, racy Sauvignon Blanc from Quincy is made by Jerôme de la Chaise (bottled under his 'Domaine des Bruniers' label), and has an excellent nose with classic elderflower aromas. This wine makes a terrific accompaniment to asparagus, seafood or fresh goat's cheeses.

1 x Saumur Blanc 2020£0.00

This crisp, white Saumur wine that is produced from Chenin Blanc on the chalky soils of Anjou is a firm favourite with Yapp customers and staff alike. This may have something to do with the eye-catching Charles de Gaulle label, but more likely is because this Saumur Blanc is a refreshing, fruity, bon marché crowd-pleaser that makes for an ideal aperitif or partner to salads.

1 x Muscadet de Sèvre et Maine Sur Lie: Jean-François Baron 2020£0.00

There's Muscadet, and then there's Muscadet. This bone dry Muscadet - which is both 'de Sèvre et Maine' and 'Sur Lie' - has been consistently excellent since we first shipped it 40 years ago. This zesty, palate-tingling wine makes a bracing aperitif, and goes down a treat with oysters, mussels and other 'fruits de mer'.

1 x IGP Pays d'Oc: Domaine Girard 'Garriguette' Rosé 2020£0.00

From the Languedoc hills, this IGP rosé wine owes its freshness to planting at 350m altitude, receiving cooling breezes from both the Atlantic and Mediterranean. Classic Cabernet Franc gives beautiful berry fruit and acidity making this a wonderful food partner, particularly to sumptuous salads or chilli-spiced Asian dishes. ‘Garriguette’ is an early-ripening variety of strawberry with a particularly intense perfume. ‘Garrigue’ also references the scrub herbs and undergrowth common in the area.

1 x IGP Ardèche: Vignerons Ardéchois Cabernet Sauvignon 2019£0.00

This straight Cabernet Sauvignon from the Ardèche is one of our most popular red wines - it exhibits plenty of varietal character, with bright blackcurrant aromas and a plummy, mid-weight palate with a fresh acidity. It has a terrific 'rapport qualité prix' and would give many a Petit Château Claret a good run for its money.

1 x Beaujolais Villages: Arnaud Aucoeur 'Vieilles Vignes' 2018£0.00

Classic, red Beaujolais Villages - a lovely, supple, mid-weight Gamay that's a versatile wine for kitchen lunches and suppers and is best served lightly chilled.

1 x Bordeaux Supérieur: Château d'Abzac 2019£0.00

Made from 100% Merlot, this Bordeaux Supérieur from Château d'Abzac is the fruit of our grail-like quest to find an affordable and characterful claret. Already a hit with the Yapp cognoscenti, this precocious 'Petit Château' has alluring red berry aromas preceding a palate with a wealth of cassis flavours, great concentration and fine balance.

1 x Minervois: Domaine Le Cazal 'Tradition' 2019£0.00

A long-time quest for a great value Minervois wine came to fruition with this cracking little red from Domaine Le Cazal. It is a traditional un-oaked wine with fine garrigue aromas and a spicy mid-weight palate of dark berry fruit offset by supple tannins.

1 x Rioja: Marqués de Zearra Crianza 2015£0.00

We know it's across the Pyrenees from our usual patch, but we couldn't resist buying this crackerjack red Rioja that practically drinks itself. Tempranillo - with 10% Mazuelo (Carignan) - from a small bodega in Fuenmajor, it has 24 months in barrel and 3 years in bottle prior to release, illustrating the great value to be found in La Rioja.

1 x Tinto Negro: Mendoza Malbec 2020£0.00

Expressing bright red fruit aromas with a soft, supple texture and a spicy finish, this Malbec from Tinto Negro is a versatile wine that works well with grilled red meat and rich, tomato-based sauces.
