1 x Vouvray Mousseux Brut£0.00

This delicious sparkling Vouvray wine has an inviting brioche bouquet and a teasingly frothy effervescence, making it ideal for all manner of celebrations or picnics - no corkscrew required!

1 x Picpoul de Pinet: Domaine Gaujal 2019£0.00

This alluring and tangy Picpoul de Pinet wine is made just north of the Bassin de Thau, a large salt water lagoon near Montpellier in the Languedoc. It makes a bracing aperitif, but a bottle of Picpoul de Pinet and a bucket of oysters? Food and wine matching doesn't get much simpler or better than that.

1 x Côtes du Luberon: Château la Canorgue Blanc 2019£0.00

This organic provençal white wine from the Margan family at Château la Canorgue is a blend of Grenache, Clairette, Roussanne and Marsanne, grown at an elevated altitude which imparts a notable freshness. It is light enough to be drunk on its own or with olives, but will happily stand up to bouillabaisse or pissaladière.

1 x Mosel: Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt Alte Reben Trocken Riesling 2017£0.00

Classic aromatic Riesling with salty, spicy minerality that is sourced from old vines (over 25 years) in the Ruwer and Saar valleys.

1 x Napier Winery: 'Saint Catherine' Chardonnay 2017£0.00

Saint Catherine Single Vineyard Chardonnay has a lovely golden colour, toasty top notes and a ripe tropical fruit palate with a lovely creamy texture and an elegant, dry finish. Barbecued prawns with a chilli and mango salsa would be an ideal food accompaniment.

1 x Tavel: Domaine Maby 'La Forcadière' 2019£0.00

Tavel: Domaine Maby 'La Forcadière' - a full-bodied rosé wine made in a traditional style. It's a great food wine, beloved by savvy sommeliers, and would go down a treat with a harissa roast chicken or a spicy vegetable tagine, and makes an ideal partner to Asian dishes.

1 x Crozes Hermitage: Domaine Equis 'Equinoxe' 2018£0.00

The Graillot family is famous for producing fruit-forward accessible red wines made from the Syrah grape. The Crozes Hermitage 'Equinoxe' is an excellent, youthful example, crammed with dark, hedgerow-fruit scents and flavours offset by supple tannins. This wine makes an ideal partner to red meat dishes or flavoursome, hard cheeses.
Bottled under screwcap.

1 x Côtes de Gascogne: Domaine Millet Merlot 2018£0.00

A pure Merlot Côtes de Gascogne wine which has a similar fruit-forward appeal to it's Cabernet Franc / Merlot sibling - appealing mulberry aromas and soft, plummy palate.

Just the thing to accompany a steak frites or saucisse de Toulouse!

1 x Savoie: Domaine de L'Idylle Mondeuse 'Le Tithonien' 2019£0.00

The favoured red grape in the French Alps is Mondeuse and the Tiolliers' version is packed with bright berry scents and savoury red fruit flavours. It drinks well very lightly chilled, so bring on the cheese and charcuterie... or raclette on a chilly evening!

1 x Vin de Corse Sartène Rouge: Domaine Saparale 2018£0.00

A lovely briary red wine from Corsica blended from 80% Sciacarello and 20% Nielluccio - just the thing to accompany grilled red meat or a ripened Brocciu cheese.

1 x Rioja: Marqués de Zearra Crianza 2014£0.00

We know it's across the Pyrenees from our usual patch, but we couldn't resist buying this crackerjack red Rioja that practically drinks itself. Tempranillo - with 10% Mazuelo (Carignan) - from a small bodega in Fuenmajor, it has 24 months in barrel and 3 years in bottle prior to release, illustrating the great value to be found in La Rioja.

1 x Stellenbosch: Migliarina Syrah 2015£0.00

A deep purple Syrah wine from boutique winemaker Carsten Migliarina in the highly-rated 2015 vintage. Juicy blackberry and wild strawberry flavours and aromas are balanced with fine-grained tannins and a lengthy fruity finish. Grilled meat, robust stews or a hearty roasted root vegetable dish would pair perfectly with this ripe Syrah.
