This mixed case includes

1 x Vin de Pays de Vaucluse: Domaine de Durban Viognier 2021£0.00

A precocious 'IGP' Viognier from the Leydier family (Domaine de Durban) whose sweet Muscat de Beaumes de Venise wines we have been taking for some years. This pure Viognier demonstrates the high quality of the family's dry white wines and we hope you'll agree that it represents indecent value for money.

1 x Muscadet de Sèvre et Maine Sur Lie: Jean-François Baron 2022£0.00

There's Muscadet, and then there's Muscadet. This zesty, palate-tingling wine - which is both 'de Sèvre et Maine' and 'Sur Lie' - is bone dry, makes a bracing aperitif, and goes down a treat with oysters, mussels and other 'fruits de mer'.

1 x Saumur: Vignerons de Saumur Blanc 2021£0.00

This crisp, white Saumur wine that is produced from Chenin Blanc on the chalky soils of Anjou is a firm favourite with Yapp customers and staff alike. This may have something to do with the eye-catching Charles de Gaulle label, but more likely is because this Saumur Blanc is a refreshing, fruity, bon marché crowd-pleaser that makes for an ideal aperitif or partner to salads.

1 x Domaine Gardrat: Vin de Pays Charentais Sauvignon 2022£0.00

This Vin de Pays Charentais from Domaine Gardrat is 100% Sauvignon Blanc, delicately perfumed with subtle elderflower and nettle scents and a racy, mineral-edged palate. It's a lovely, light, uplifting wine that works well as an aperitif or partner to salads or seafood, whitebait or griddled squid in particular.

Certified as an organic wine.

1 x Alsace: Léon Beyer 'La Cuvée' 2021£0.00

Léon Beyer’s ‘La Cuvée’ is an Alsace blend usually of Pinot Blanc and Muscat (some vintages contain some Sylvaner). Such blends are often described as 'Edelzwicker' (German for 'noble mixture'), and allow winemakers to express their house style and can often be terrific value. Such blends are not permitted to name the varieties used on the label.

1 x Napier Winery: 'Petite Marie' Rosé 2021£0.00

This delicate salmon-pink rosé wine from the vineyards of Wellington in the Western Cape of South Africa was awarded 'Best in Class' for the 2021 vintage by the SA National Wine Challenge. Made from 100% Cabernet Franc, it has a floral nose with pink grapefruit, guava and rosehip notes that follow through onto the plate. Creamy and with a hint of Szechuan pepper spice, this is very moreish and ideal for 'al fresco' imbibing!

1 x Vin de Pays de Vaucluse: Le Petit Caboche 2021£0.00

This lip-smacking, supple blend from Vaucluse has dollops of red fruit and warm, spicy flavours. A wine made by Jean-Pierre Boisson (former Mayor of Châteauneuf-du-Pape) and his daughter Emilie.

1 x IGP Ardèche: Vignerons Ardéchois Cabernet Sauvignon 2021£0.00

This straight Cabernet Sauvignon from the Ardèche is one of our most popular red wines - it exhibits plenty of varietal character, with bright blackcurrant aromas and a plummy, mid-weight palate with a fresh acidity. It has a terrific 'rapport qualité prix' and would give many a Petit Château Claret a good run for its money.

1 x IGP de la Drôme: Domaine Lombard 'Azalée' 2022£0.00

The 'Azalée' cuvéeis named after the Japanese Azalea flower and is a bright, vibrant purple-hued red wine with lush, juicy plum fruit. A blend of 90% Syrah and the remainder Viognier, it is co-fermented in the manner of Côte-Rôtie and is intended to be drunk on its youthful fruit.

Certified as an organic wine.

1 x Saint-Pourçain: 'La Ficelle' Rouge 2022£0.00

Designed for early drinking, this Saint-Pourçain red wine is a supple blend of Gamay and Pinot Noir. It displays raspberry and violet aromas followed by light, redcurrant fruit on the palate, making it the ideal wine accompaniment for soft cheeses and charcuterie.

1 x IGP Pays d'Oc: Domaine Girard Pinot Noir 2022£0.00

Domaine Girard’s Burgundian-style Pinot Noir from the Languedoc hills owes its freshness to planting at 350m altitude, receiving cooling breezes from both the Atlantic and Mediterranean. Bags of intense berry fruit and gentle spice make this an ideal aperitif or moreish partner to summer dishes.

1 x Rioja: Marqués de Zearra Crianza 2017£0.00

We know it's across the Pyrenees from our usual patch, but we couldn't resist buying this crackerjack red Rioja that practically drinks itself! Made completely from Tempranillo from vineyards in Rioja Alta and Rioja Altavesa, it sees time in American oak which brings coffee, vanilla and cedar to the Tempranillo fruit.
