Half-Time Mixed Case Offer

Diminutive doses of wonderful wines!

Half-bottles allow for more variety and less wastage, so have always been an important consideration for us. This selection features some rare sightings such as Irouléguy rosé and peppery Mondeuse from the Savoie, alongside newly-found Muscadet 'sur lie', a classic Chablis, superb 'old vine' Saumur-Champigny and a luxurious red Lirac. Let the revels commence!

This mixed case contains two half-bottles each of:

Chablis: Domaine Christophe Camu 2019
Muscadet de Sèvre et Maine Sur Lie: Jean-François Baron 2020

Vin de France: Domaine Ilarria Rosé 2020

Lirac: Domaine Maby 'La Fermade' Rouge 2018
Saumur Champigny: Domaine Filliatreau 'Vieilles Vignes' 2017
Savoie: Domaine de L'Idylle Mondeuse 2018

This mixed case includes

2 x Chablis: Domaine Christophe Camu 2019£0.00

Classy, unoaked Chablis from a talented, sixth generation winemaker. It is light and supple enough to savor without accompaniment but will take all manner of crustacea and seafood in its stride.

2 x Muscadet de Sèvre et Maine Sur Lie: Jean-François Baron 2020£0.00

There's Muscadet, and then there's Muscadet. This bone dry Muscadet - which is both 'de Sèvre et Maine' and 'Sur Lie' - has been consistently excellent since we first shipped it 40 years ago. This zesty, palate-tingling wine makes a bracing aperitif, and goes down a treat with oysters, mussels and other 'fruits de mer'.

2 x Vin de France: Domaine Ilarria Rosé 2020£0.00

This is an organic blend of equal parts Tannat and Cabernet Franc from Irouléguy in the western Pyrenees - a wonderfully gastronomic organic rosé wine that works extremely well with dishes rich in olive oil, anchovies and plenty of garlic.

2 x Lirac: Domaine Maby 'La Fermade' Rouge 2018£0.00

The red Lirac 'La Fermade' from Domaine Maby is an under-rated Châteauneuf'-style blend that is the quintessential fireside red wine. Made from Rhône staples Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, this warming red is packed with briary garrigue berry scents and flavours with a touch of violets, earthy undertones and rugged tannins. It too is a dependable crowd-pleaser offering more depth and complexity than most Côtes-du-Rhône without the price tag of a Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

2 x Saumur Champigny: Domaine Filliatreau 'Vieilles Vignes' 2017£0.00

Big, bountiful, gastronomic Cabernet Franc - a rich and powerful wine displaying herbaceous aromas. It has a wonderful core of ripe cassis flavours and a fine structure of tannins. It should be decanted before drinking and can mature happily for up to a decade. Indeed, we are so enamoured of it that we ship it in half-bottles and magnums to cover every conceivable occasion!

2 x Savoie: Domaine de L'Idylle Mondeuse 2018£0.00

The favoured red grape in the French Alps is Mondeuse and the Tiolliers' version is packed with bright berry scents and savoury red fruit flavours. It drinks well very lightly chilled, so bring on the cheese and charcuterie... or raclette on a chilly evening!
