Hedonistic Half-Bottles Mixed Case Offer

Petite Packages of Perfection!

Hedonistic Half-Bottles

Half-bottles are useful to have to hand over the festive season. They are invaluable as stocking fillers or for impromptu celebrations (such as when all your guests leave). This selection features a fine fizz from ALsace alongside a wonderfully-honeyed Monbazillac to pair with mince pies or stilton. A Muscadet and a Menetou-Salon are both good with smoked salmon and a trio of chest-thumping reds from Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Lussac-Saint-Émilion and Bandol that will be well-suited to ham, small game and slow-cooked daubes.

This mixed case contains one half-bottle each of:

Alsace: Léon Beyer Crémant d'Alsace Brut

Monbazillac: Domaine de l'Ancienne Cure 2021

Together with two half-bottles each of:

Muscadet de Sèvre et Maine Sur Lie: Jean-François Baron 2022
Menetou Salon: Domaine Jean Teiller Blanc 2022

Châteauneuf du Pape: Le Vieux Donjon Rouge 2020
Lussac-Saint-Émilion: Château Milonblanc 2019
Bandol: Mas de la Rouvière Rouge 2018

Hedonistic Half-Bottles Mixed Case Wine Offer

This mixed case includes

1 x Alsace: Léon Beyer Crémant d'Alsace Brut£0.00

Elegant, dry methode traditionelle sparkling wine produced from Pinot Blanc and Auxerrois. Something of a local secret, 90% of Cremant d'Alsace is consumed in La France. It is easy to see why they're keen to hang on to it.

1 x Monbazillac: Domaine de l'Ancienne Cure 2021£0.00

This organic Monbazillac wine from Domaine de l'Ancienne Cure is wonderfully rich and sweet, made from low yields of late-harvested, botrytised, Semillon (90%) and Muscadelle (10%). With a chilled glass in hand, one is transported to a balmy evening in the Dordogne!

2 x Muscadet de Sèvre et Maine Sur Lie: Jean-François Baron 2022£0.00

There's Muscadet, and then there's Muscadet. This zesty, palate-tingling wine - which is both 'de Sèvre et Maine' and 'Sur Lie' - is bone dry, makes a bracing aperitif, and goes down a treat with oysters, mussels and other 'fruits de mer'.

2 x Menetou Salon: Domaine Jean Teiller Blanc 2022£0.00

The Teillers' Menetou Salon Blanc is a firm favourite chez Yapp. The atypically ripe, juicy style of Loire Sauvignon Blanc is almost certainly influenced by the year that Patricia Teiller and husband Olivier Luneau (who now run the estate) spent winemaking in New Zealand. Certified as an organic wine.

2 x Châteauneuf du Pape: Le Vieux Donjon Rouge 2020£0.00

"The 2020 Châteauneuf Du Pape is another winner from this team, and readers can’t go wrong here. Based on 75% Grenache, 10% each of Syrah and Mourvedre, with the balance Cinsault, it was partially destemmed and brought up all in foudre. This beauty just about jumps out of the glass with its Provençal aromatics of ripe cherries, ground pepper, saddle leather, garrigue, and spice. These carry to a medium to full-bodied wine that has the vintage’s charming, pure character front and center, yet still brings good mid-palate density and ripe tannins. Buy a case, count yourself lucky, and enjoy bottles any time over the coming 10-15 years.
Drink 2022 - 2037. 95/100."

2 x Lussac-Saint-Émilion: Château Milonblanc 2019£0.00

A delightful mid-weight Claret from Lussac-Saint-Émilion, an up-and-coming satellite appellation that delivers terrific value for money.

2 x Bandol: Mas de la Rouvière Rouge 2018£0.00

A full-bodied Bandol red wine from the Côte d'Azur, with a beguiling, deep purple robe, dark, hedgerow berry scents and a palate of black fruit, spices, dried ceps and game.
