To begin: dry, white Bergerac - a vif Bordeaux-blend of Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc – complements the gifted Jürgen Hofmann's creamy, estate-level Pinot Blanc (Weisser Burgunder).

Next up, the latest vintage of dependable Domaine Saint Gayan's thirst-quenching IGP rosé.

The reds all punch their weight and two are new to Yapp cellars. Vignerons Ardéchois has come up trumps again with another cracking value, organic red Côtes du Rhône. A brief tasting chez Arnaud Aucoeur in Villié-Morgon in April reminded us that he makes several other star-quality Beaujolais Crus, such as this structured Moulin-à-Vent. Lastly, don't overlook the ripe, juicy Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache and Syrah blend (think Rhône - Bordeaux fusion) from Domaine des Oullières, 20km north-west of Aix-en-Provence.

This case also provides one of the four options we can now offer to customers who want a hassle-free, regular wine delivery at an agreed price. For further details of the service, see here for regular wine deliveries. As ever, this case is available as all red or all white & rosé.

This mixed case includes

2 x Bergerac: Domaine l'Ancienne Cure 'Jour de Fruit' Blanc Sec 2021£0.00

This is a superb white Bergerac Sec from an organic unoaked 'Bordeaux' blend of 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Semillon. It is a dry and fruity wine, what the locals call 'vif', with an attractive citrus fruit bouquet and a clean, zesty palate. It is a reliable cocktail hour pick-me-up or partner to salads and seafood.

2 x Rheinhessen: Jürgen Hofmann Weisser Burgunder Trocken 2020£0.00

Great value 'estate-level' Pinot blanc (Weisser Burgunder) produced by the gifted Jürgen Hofmann, with pear aromas and a creamy finish.

2 x IGP Méditerranée: Domaine Saint Gayan 'Argiles' Rosé 2021£0.00

A new rosé wine from a three hundred year old estate. Who says there's no innovation in French winemaking? This hand-harvested, IGP Méditerranée rosé is just the thing to quench the thirst during a hot summer in the Vaucluse.

2 x Côtes du Rhône: Vignerons Ardéchois 'Montjau' 2020£0.00

Situated on the pebble-stone soils of Montjau in the Ardèche, this full-bodied organic Grenache, Mourvèdre and Carignan blend is a step up from most Côtes du Rhône. With a chocolatey, spicy nose and velvety rich cassis and black cherry palate, this full-bodied blend red has supple tannins and a peppery finish. Certified organic.

2 x Beaujolais Moulin-à-Vent: Arnaud Aucoeur 'Tradition Vieilles Vignes' 2020£0.00

Known as the ‘King’ of Beaujolais for being one of the longest-lived expressions of the Gamay grape, Arnaud Aucoeur’s classic old-vine Moulin-à-Vent has voluptuous berry fruit flavours, a lovely floral lift on the nose, fresh acidity to underscore a touch of savoury spice and an enticing blackberry and cherry finish.

2 x Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence: Domaine des Oullières 'Harmonie' Rouge 2019£0.00

This red Coteaux d'Aix wine from Domaine des Oullières is made from a hand-harvested 40% each of Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache Noir along with 20% Syrah: almost a Rhône - Bordeaux fusion. Mid-weight, versatile, and easy-drinking.
