Montlouis-sur-Loire: Berger Frères 'Les Plantes Baron' Sec 2020
A dry Montlouis wine from the Berger Frères - clean, green apple and grapefruit aromas precede a zesty, citric palate. This excellent example of Chenin Blanc has a bright, refreshing acidity and crisp, dry finish. Certified organic.
The Berger family's still Montlouis Sec - from 30+ year old vines - is equally as meritorious as their sparkling Mousseaux Brut, with subtle spring blossom and citrus scents, lots of ripe orchard fruit flavours and a fresh, zesty finish - a wine that is taut and tangy and unfailingly reliable! Serve with fish, goat's cheese or Saint Nectaire.
