Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt
A 650 year-old, family-run estate based in Trier in the Mosel, with prime vine-holdings in the Mosel, Saar and Ruwer valleys. The estate farms 46 hectares in total, 12 hectares of which are scattered among the extraordinary but challenging slopes of the Mosel. Skillfully managed from 1983 until her sad passing in 2016 by the quality-focused owner Annegret Reh-Gartner (herself married to a two-star Michelin chef, Gerhard Gartner), this is one of the leading wineries in Germany and accordingly it is a member of the prestigious VDP association.View more wines from this producer...

Alex Bal reviews the classic Mosel 'Trocken' (dry) Riesling 'Alte Reben' (old vine) from Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt, a centuries old estate specialising in Riesling wines. It has a smoky minerality with ripe citrus fruit aromas with a refreshing finish - ideal with oysters, or spicy dishes like Thai food.Yapp Brothers Videos
