Classic aromatic Riesling with salty, spicy minerality that is sourced from old vines (over 25 years) in the Mosel, the Ruwer and Saar valleys.
This 'VDP Gutswein' represents the regional categorization, akin to 'Bourgogne' rather than villages level. It is excellent value, sourced from mature vineholdings of between 25 and 50 years' age on sites such as the Kaseler Nies'chen, Scharzhofberger, Piesporter Goldtröpfchen and Josephshöfer across the Mosel region.

Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt
A 650 year-old, family-run estate based in Trier in the Mosel, with prime vine-holdings in the Mosel, Saar and Ruwer valleys. The estate farms 46 hectares in total, 12 hectares of which are scattered among the extraordinary but challenging slopes of the Mosel.
Skillfully managed from 1983 until her sad passing in 2016 by the quality-focused owner Annegret Reh-Gartner (herself married to a two-star Michelin chef, Gerhard Gartner), this is one of the leading wineries in Germany and accordingly it is a member of the prestigious VDP association.
