This mixed case includes

2 x Saumur: Vignerons de Saumur Blanc 2022£0.00

This crisp, white Saumur wine that is produced from Chenin Blanc on the chalky soils of Anjou is a firm favourite with Yapp customers and staff alike. This may have something to do with the eye-catching Charles de Gaulle label, but more likely is because this Saumur Blanc is a refreshing, fruity, bon marché crowd-pleaser that makes for an ideal aperitif or partner to salads.

2 x Savoie: Domaine de l'Idylle 'Vieille Vigne' Blanc 2022£0.00

This old-vine bottling of pure Jacquère, from Savoie in the foothills of the Alps, is a wine with an inimitable 'mountain air' freshness and persistent stone-fruit flavours with an elegant dry finish. Bring on the fondue and raclette!

2 x Germany: Kolonne Null Riesling 2022£0.00

Low alcohol, low-calorie wine? Absolutely. We had tasted oodles of de-alcoholised wines and never been convinced that they adequately replicated the 'mouth feel' of the real thing. Kolonne Null's de-alcoholised Riesling has an ABV of less than 0.5%. With its clear structure, crisp acidity and tense minerality, is a revelation and fooled most of our tasting panel, who assumed more alcohol was present. With an average 19 kcalories per 100ml, it has less alcohol than a ripe banana or that present in cloudy fruit juice. Plus, it’s gluten-free and vegan-friendly to boot.

2 x Saint-Pourçain: 'La Ficelle' Rouge 2022£0.00

Designed for early drinking, this Saint-Pourçain red wine is a supple blend of Gamay and Pinot Noir. It displays raspberry and violet aromas followed by light, redcurrant fruit on the palate, making it the ideal wine accompaniment for soft cheeses and charcuterie.

2 x Saumur: Vignerons de Saumur Rouge 2021£0.00

Our consistently reliable red Saumur, with its distinctive label that depicts graffito of Charles de Gaulle, makes for remarkably versatile easy drinking. Made from pure Cabernet Franc, this Saumur rouge is savoury and youthful with bright, summer berry scents and flavours and is best drunk lightly chilled.

2 x Côtes de Gascogne: Domaine Millet Merlot - Cabernet Franc 2022£0.00

A quaffable blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot from Gascony that really comes into its own with poultry dishes - Christmas turkey would be ideal!
